Attorney-Mediator David Wolkowitz
Attorney David Wolkowitz is a practicing family law and divorce attorney whose no-nonsense approach is appreciated by clients who want to get their divorce done and move on with life. Unlike mediators who aren’t lawyers, Attorney Wolkowitz is able to act as a neutral conduit between people in a divorce while still relying on his varied and successful courtroom experience to help guild both spouses to working solutions. David earned a certificate in divorce mediation from Northwestern University.
Prior to founding The Wolkowitz Law Office, he worked for several other law firms. Before becoming a lawyer, he negotiated numerous deals and contracts, and was a management consultant, adjunct professor, and journalist. David holds a Master of Science degree from Northwestern University, and earned his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law. While in law school he held externships with several judges in the Domestic Relations Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County, and was a law clerk with the Cook County Public Guardian. He is presently a committee member in the Illinois State Bar Association.
David enjoys stand-up comedy, and reviewing mediation agreements produced by non-lawyers. Either way, he often laughs hard.
Attorney-Mediator Rhonda Stuart
Attorney Rhonda Stuart is a seasoned family law and divorce attorney. She is a skilled negotiator and mediator, always see the big picture. Having a background in litigation, Rhonda is able to help divorcing people understand the true possible costs of not coming to a mediated agreement.
Rhonda earned a certificate in divorce mediation from Northwestern University. Rhonda has represented clients of high net worth, and regular working people. As a mediator, her approach is to-the-point and aimed at helping people move on with life.
Rhonda has extensive experience litigating family law matters, but her experience also includes acting as general counsel for a hospital, handling foreclosures for a local bank, defending homeowners against foreclosure, representing clients in real estate closings, and reviewing commercial contracts.
Rhonda serves is a committee member in the Illinois State Bar Association. Rhonda is currently a member of the Alumni Council of Grinnell College. Rhonda has served as a court-appointed special advocate, or CASA, in the Circuit Court of DuPage County, and served on the board of a community hospital in Oak Park, Illinois.
Rhonda earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Illinois College of Law and her bachelor of arts degree from Grinnell College.
